Consideration of a request for a variance from Section 18-5.02.2 (setback from US 169 Hwy right-of-way) of the Miami County, Kansas Zoning Regulations. The applicant would like to construct a double-stacked, double-sided billboard sign approximately 10 feet from the right-of-way where a 50-foot setback is required. The subject property of approximately 28 acres is zoned Commercial (C-2), and located on the South side of 215th St, along the East side of US 169 Hwy, in the Northeast Quarter of Section 22, Township 15, Range 23, Marysville Township, Miami County, Kansas. Consideration of an application for conditional use permit for an Event Center, including social gatherings such as birthdays, family reunions and weddings per Section 5-2.02.28 of the Miami County Zoning Regulations. The subject property contains approximately 50.27 acres, is addressed as 28310 Woodland Rd, Paola, KS, and is located approximately ½ mile south of K-68 Highway on the west side of Woodland Rd, in the SW ¼ of Section 36, Twp 16, Range 23, Marysville Twp. Application submitted by Gloria DeLaTorre and Gabriel Aguirre-Carreño, property owners of record.
